BOXER AAV - The best-protected ambulance vehicle

As the first link in the chain of medical rescue, the BOXER Ambulance (AAV) forms the foundation for preclinical treatment under maximum protection with optimal mobility in all mission scenarios. The modular design of the BOXER allows flexible adaptation to future military tasks or changing requirements thanks to its uniform drive module and a large number of specific, rapidly interchangeable mission modules.

BOXER is marketed by ARTEC GmbH and is a joint venture between KNDS and Rheinmetall.

With its MTU V8 engine generating up to 530 kW, the power pack provides the BOXER with maximum mobility in any mission scenario

State-of-the-art chassis

The single-wheel suspension with its long spring travel and hydraulic end stop damper minimises stress on the crew when driving both on and off the road.

Highly protected

The modern add-on protection concept and modular design, consisting of a drive module and a mission module (safety cell), offer maximum possible protection for the crew.

Medical equipment

The crew can configure the stretcher carrier system for the specific situation, allowing a broad spectrum of flexibility as well as easy loading in terms of the number of casualties and the class of injuries to be treated.

The BOXER Ambulance offers a broad spectrum of flexibility in terms of the number of victims and their injury rate. Extensive medical equipment enables proper treatment in any mission scenario. The flexible stretcher carrier system with on-board equipment can be configured for many different mission scenarios.

The 17.5m³ protected crew compartment with a headroom of 1.85 m allows optimal medical care for the patients. The BOXER Ambulance offers the same level of protection for the crew as the BOXER infantry vehicle, making it one of the best-protected ambulance vehicles on the market.
